John-Luke Harris
Counsellor

BMus (Hons) Performance
MSc Counselling
MNCPS Acc.
Having graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2018, my keen interest in psychology, philosophy and individual mental wellbeing saw me embark on a slight career change as I began an MSc in Pluralistic Counselling at Abertay University.
I have a particular interest in Jungian psychology, Christian theology, and existential philosophies, some of which I draw upon within my therapeutic approach. Similarly, I believe strongly in client agency and collaborating with a client's preferences to arrive at a desired outcome.

I thrive on helping clients to navigate the particular difficulties of their journey.

In addition to my role as a counsellor I provide IT support and oversight for the organisation.

Concurrently with my work at Hope Counselling, I am also the Director of Music for the University of Dundee where I support students and staff to create high-quality music performances throughout the year.
